HOW IT STARTED

A dream I buried for years, and finally let myself chase.

For as long as I can remember, flowers pulled at me. I dreamed of one day owning a flower shop, but for years I couldn't quite picture myself pulling it off — so I tucked the dream away. Every so often it would resurface. In 2024 I found the Cape School of Floristry here in Cape Town, enrolled, and completed my training — then let the skill sit quietly for a while, with no real idea where it would lead.

Eventually I registered a company, and the name Rembo Blooms came to me almost on its own. Rembo means beauty in Swahili, and that's exactly what I wanted every arrangement to capture. I started arranging quietly at first — for friends, and mostly for church.

Then I was asked to do the flowers for a wedding, and that was the moment everything changed. I loved every part of it. There was a quieter season after, while life pulled me toward other things — but the passion never really left, and Rembo Blooms has kept growing ever since.
